With such a large squad it's very difficult to ensure that everyone gets plenty of pitch time and with many new lads in the Colts squad this season, some of which have not played a lot of football, it was decided to create another team called the Falcons to play the occasional mini-soccer game on Saturday mornings. The games are arranged against similar standard opposition and are a good opportunity for the lads to develop in a game without the pressure of league competition.

The concept is an extension of the playing strategy from last season when a series of additional matches was arranged after the League game and this year we have formalised the team within the Colts.
The first game this season was against our friends Wellesbourne Wanderers and was of significance for Sam and Johannes who played their first games for the Club; Johannes in fact was awarded man of the match, not bad for a debut. The game was also of relevance for Clark who scored his first goal for the Wardens in the 4-2 victory. Paul captains the Falcons and all of the lads enjoy the experience and development opportunity of this friendly atmosphere.
